Pride in the Woods is a pride festival for northern Ontario, run by What the Fox Trot and sponsored by North Bay Pride. It’s a response to a lack of pride festivals for rural Ontario - not all members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community live in cities!

A few people in the northern community came together to form What the Fox Trot, a nonprofit organisation that began running Pride in the Woods at Fox Haven in 2022. Now in its second year, the festival has expanded to include multiple nights of performances, drag, and dancing. See our schedule for more information about each event!

Pride in the Woods is, and always will be an inclusive event. We strive to keep attendance costs low, and our major events will take place in accessible buildings on the property. We also strive to keep Pride in the Woods a safer space for all, and attendees that can’t respect consent or a diverse array of identities will be spoken to by security and may be asked to leave. When in doubt, always ask.
